<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0in">Seeking a Medical Assistant Studentwho under the direction of the Provider, Medical Support Staff Supervisor(MSSS), or designee, the Medical Assistant Student plays a crucial role inproviding patient care and excellent customer service within the scope ofpractice for Medical Assistant Students.<o:p></o:p></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0in">In this role, key responsibilitiesinclude assessing patient healthcare needs and addressing any service gapswhile following age-specific protocols. Preparing for appointments, updatingpatient records, and documenting the chief complaint and vital signs in theelectronic health record are essential tasks. The provider will prepare theexam room and assist during medical procedures, provide patient education, andhandle post-visit instructions.<o:p></o:p></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0in">Administrative duties include managingdocumentation, handling patient calls, maintaining examination rooms, andprocessing referrals for specialized care. The provider will act as a liaisonwith other healthcare providers and maintain HIPAA-compliant patientconfidentiality. Infection control policies must be followed, along with properimmunization handling, laboratory testing, and ensuring equipmentfunctionality.
